梁丰双语实验学校八年级的舒展（Tommy）同学即将在下学期前往美国求学。前不久他拿到了5所美国著名中学的offer。

作为八年级的学生，Tommy的语言能力等各方面的综合能力在同龄的学生中表现得极其优秀，SSAT取得了2316分（总分2400），TOEFL 114分（总分120）。

Tommy在老师和同学的心目中是一位阳光、努力、热爱生活的男孩。

他在课余时间参与DIY社，篮球社等，在课堂学习中帮助同班同学解决数学难题。

在学校开展的绿植栽培周、趣味运动会、万圣节、圣诞节、义卖、艺术节、篮球联赛等活动中，经常能看到他和同学们的身影。

关于Tommy

Hello, my name is Shu Zhan, my English name is Tommy. My life started 13 years ago in December third two thousand and four in Beijing.

my parents work in a multinational company, I moved to Zhangjiagang a few months after I was born. There I would grow up to the age of ten and travel to places around the world with my parents. That was until the age of ten when my father received a job in Canada. My father immediately agreed to the offer, and so off we went to Canada.

Canada had great natural resources so my family and I would often travel into the mountains to hike. I grew a passion for nature there that would continue to this day. There I became better at English and learned how to code a robot. During the last summer vacation, I programmed the robot to be able to walk through a maze using its sensors. To this day I still like to program my robot to do cool things such as sharpshooting a target.

Since, my piano was too big to carry there, I decided to try out a new instrument, so I joined the school band as a clarinet player. An instrument that I liked, so I decided to stick with it.

My years in Canada gave great experiences and eventually my dad got another offer to come back. Which is why I’m here today, in Zhangjiagang Liangfeng International School. In this school I have built strong bases for high school while enjoying my life.

“一个人的发展，终究不只是学科教育。如果说我们的教育只有学科教育，那这个教育绝对是失败的。因为教育本身，意味着一个人的真正的发展。

 

美国提出的“21世纪技能”里面，包含了新时代人的个性、人的发展等新的理念，包括它的思维选择。这些单靠学科是培养不出来的。所以我们必须要有另外一套体系——通过各种各样的活动，各种各样的项目来把它做出来，这就可以培养一种非学科性的素养。比如说如何规划自己人生的问题；比如说元认知的问题，就是自己对自己的分析。这些都是对人的发展很重要的，包括思维方式的改变，包括学习的理论都已经变化了。
